Tips and Hints

  • If you are like me you are going to steam clean your carpets before the holidays. For those of you that do yours yourself, I have a tip to help keep the stains at a minimum.
    1. When doing a final rinse on your carpet, add some fabric softner to the water. No need for a lot of it. This acts as a repellant and makes it feel soft and smell wonderful!

Here's something you can do to add beautiful light and color to any area! If you have some odd (new is also ok) martini, goblets etc... glasses, fill them with colored lamp oil and add floating candles. You can cluster different sizes together or use alone with some greenry around the glass stems. This looks very elegant!

• Dip the rims of crystal-clear goblets into sparkling glitter, and you have a pretty effect. But fill the goblets to the brim with colored water and floating lit candles, and the decoration is simply glorious.

You will need:
Clear crystal goblets
White tacky glue
Small bowl
Golden glitter
Food coloring
Floating candles

INSTRUCTIONS: Wash and dry goblets. Carefully cover rim of each goblet with white tacky glue. Fill a small bowl or dish with golden glitter. Press goblet rims into glitter. Let dry.

Carefully fill goblets with colored water; float a candle in each.

If you have a great tip that you would like to share, please e-mail me and I will add it here. Thank you :-))
