Easy Sew Jester Halloween Costume!
This costume can also be used as a base for other styles as well... such as a clown!
This is an easy to create and sew costume and you don't need to buy a pattern for it - make it yourself! It took me far more time to create these instructions than it did for me to create this outfit. (I made it in just 2 hours! Depending on your experience it may ake you a little longer to create.)
Before we start: I have broken this project down into separate pages so the images don't slow the pages down too much.
SUPPLIES:
• Yardage 1 + 1/2 times the height of your child for each color (2), broadcloth or any cotton that shows equal color on both sides.
• 8 - 1" jingle bells and if you can find assorted colors - all the better!
• 1/8" corresponding ribbon spools (about 2 each color)
• Matching thread
• 1/8" wide elastic for wrists, ankles, and neckline
• Rick-rack 2-3 pkgs one color
• Pinking shears if you have them
• Something to create a pattern on
• Small amount fibre-fill
• Velcro dots or buttons or snaps to close the back opening
• Paper glasses and/or other accessories
• Seamstress tape measure
• Sewing machine prefered
